Stakeholder Consultation for the revised UKCP Standards of Education and Training for Family and Systemic Psychotherapy

UKCP’s Education, Training and Practice Committee (ETPC) have developed the UKCP Standards of Education and Training for Family and Systemic Psychotherapy, which are now ready for consultation.

The UKCP Standards of Education and Training for Family and Systemic Psychotherapy have been drafted taking the existing UKCP Adult Standards of Education and Training (2017) and the UKCP Child Standards of Education and Training, and also the current College of Family, Couple and Systemic Therapy Standards of Education and Training (2017) as a starting point. These documents can be found at the bottom of this page.

Change of this kind affects UKCP students and trainees, trainings and trainers, the general public who may be considering psychotherapeutic training, and the wider psychotherapeutic community.

This consultation process will end on 24 April 2020, and is intended for UKCP internal and external stakeholders, including UKCP membership (both student/trainee members and organisational members), committees, faculties and colleges, and the general public.

We seek representation of a broad spectrum of views from within and without the organisation, and we would encourage our members to help promote this consultation to any internal or external stakeholders that could be relevant.

We would be very grateful, if you are a Committee Chair or Officer, if you would ensure that there is space during the consultation period to discuss the new draft code and formulate feedback with your committee colleagues.
