Professional Conduct Officer

Full time permanent post  (35 hours per week)

Salary:  £25,000 to £30,000 per annum

 

The United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is the lead professional organisation and voluntary regulatory body for psychotherapy.  UKCP is a Charitable company established in 1993 by the Standing Conference for Psychotherapy with the aims of providing a voluntary framework for the regulation of the profession of psychotherapy, and working toward the establishment of a statutory framework of regulation for the profession.  UKCP is based in central London. 

 

The main purpose of the job will be to implement and manage the operation of the UKCP's Central Complaints Process for fitness to practice matters in relation to registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors.

 

The Professional Conduct Officer will also be called on to provide advice on legal and professional conduct issues to the Registration Board and the Board of Trustees, and under appropriate circumstances to respond to enquiries on such matters from members of the public and the profession.
