Updates on research

As part of the Research Faculty Committee's commitment to disseminating details of interesting and useful research findings, we will be posting a series of Research Updates on this page. The journals we are searching have been selected by the RFC and mostly include general psychotherapy journals rather than modality specific ones. In the recent Spotlight on Research Survey, members said that the topic areas of most interest and use to them were around:

- effectiveness of psychotherapy

- therapeutic processes

- client-based issues

These are the areas we will focus on initially. We are going to limit each Research Update to 10 articles so these will not be a systematic review of the literature in any sense. Instead we want to present a selection of diverse articles in terms of the research approaches taken and topics covered.
