This well established annual course of lectures and experiential groups is widely recognised and highly valued. Each weekly session is divided into two parts: Terms 1 & 2: A lecture and discussion. Lectures cover theory, clinical, specialist and organisational aspects of groups. The mentoring programme supported by the UKCP ran a successful pilot last academic year 2010/11 where 16 black and Asian therapy students were mentored through their studies by 15 qualified and experienced black and Asian psychotherapists and counsellors.
The mentoring programme will run again this academic year 2011/12. Programme starts November 2011. If you are a qualified black or Asian therapist and could offer your time and expertise to mentor a black or Asian student or are a student wishing to be mentored please contact us.

Cross-cultural Psychotherapeutic Thinking for Psychotherapists and Mental Health Professionals Working with Adults, Families and Children.
