Observer newspaper on IAPT

The Observer newspaper published an article on the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme, 4 October 2009. It reported concerns that the scheme may not reach its targets and that a large part of its budget will not be ringfenced.

David Pink, UKCP chief executive, was quoted: "Iapt is a great idea whose implementation seems to have gone wrong. Now there is a danger it no longer seems to be improving access to psychological therapies."
