Announcing the new Chair of UKCP

UKCP is pleased to announce that, following the recent election, Martin Pollecoff has been the successful candidate and will take office as the Chair of UKCP on 18 March 2016.
Having previously been a member of the UKCP Board of Trustees between 2011 and 2014 - and a current member of the Executive Committee - Martin comes to the role with extensive experience of UKCP and the way it works. He has also been involved in various other committees in the past so Martin will no doubt be a great asset to the organisation in the coming years.

On being voted as the new Chair, Martin says:

"It's a privilege to be chosen to Chair the UKCP and I would like to thank everyone who voted, even those who did not vote for me. I hope to "do you proud"."

Pat has sent her congratulations to Martin, commenting:

"Congratulations to Martin on being elected as Chair, and very best wishes to him in this important role. I would like to thank the voters who supported me. It was an honour to be asked to stand for Chair of UKCP.  I received many messages of encouragement throughout the campaign and I hope to continue to play a significant part in the life of our organisation."
