New Horizons launched

The Government has launched its New Horizons strategy which aims to improve the mental well-being of people in England and improve mental health services. It hopes the new strategy will help tackle depression, reduce suicides, improve outreach to help excluded groups access support and tackle the stigma around mental illness.

The strategy also aims to increase job opportunities for people with mental health conditions by introducing mental health co-ordinators in every Jobcentre Plus and launching occupational health advice lines to help small businesses keep people with mental health problems in work.
