Grades of UKCP membership
Full Clinical Individual member
For fully qualified psychotherapists or psychotherapeutic counsellors. New members must belong to one of our organisational members in the first instance and be accredited through them. Holders of the European Certificate in Psychotherapy (ECP) may also apply directly to a UKCP College.
Full Non Clinical Individual member
For members who have been a UKCP member for at least five years and who may be teaching or supervising but are not engaged in clinical practice.
For former UKCP members who have retired from clinical practice, do not have outstanding complaint(s) and/or sanction(s) and who have paid the annual membership fee.
For students who are on a training course with a UKCP organisational member which leads to a psychotherapy or psychotherapeutic counselling qualification. Available up to the point when a student enters into any clinical practice for which the UKCP organisational member accepts supervisory responsibility.
Non Clinical Affiliate Membership
For those interested in psychotherapy or psychotherapeutic counselling and wish to support UKCP. This membership grade is not available to psychotherapists or trainee psychotherapists.
