Length of training
4 year MA (in partnership with LMU) ending September 2013;
4 year Diploma, leading to UKCP accreditation; and a variety of short courses of variable duration.
Description
The Institute of Psychotherapy and Social Studies philosophy is 'contextualizing psychoanalytic psychotherapy within contemporary cultures, languages and social identities.'
Accreditation
As an accrediting organisation IPSS follows UKCP guidelines and welcomes applications from psychoanalytic psychotherapists from a wide variety of backgrounds who seek UKCP accreditation and a lively CPD programme.
Training
IPSS has been a training organisation for more than 25 years and has a well established MA and Diploma programme. IPSS training opportunities are in transition with a movement from 4 year courses to short courses.
