Joining UKCP for the first time

I have completed my training - how do I become UKCP a member?
If you have completed an appropriate training course with a UKCP training organisation, they should automatically give you the option to apply for UKCP membership.

My course does not lead directly to membership - how do I become a UKCP member?
If you trained on a course that does not lead directly to membership, then you need to seek accreditation by a UKCP accrediting organisational member. To find an accrediting organisation, please search our database

How long does it take for my membership to be processed?
It can take up to three weeks for UKCP to process your membership after we receive the information from your organisational member. You will then be sent your UKCP certificate together with a new membership pack.

When will my details appear on the UKCP website?
Your public contact details should be listed on the UKCP website within three working days of our completing your membership. Your name will also be listed in the next issue of The Psychotherapist.
