The programme is based on Arbours' extensive experience since 1970 of providing therapeutic support for people in emotional distress, including psychosis. The training programme has links with the Arbours therapeutic communities, crisis centre and psychotherapy service. The course comprises three terms of ten weeks. The students meet on a Monday evening from 7pm to 10pm for a theoretical seminar and the experiential group. In addition, there are four Tuesday evening workshops per term and associates can access six clinical seminars on Thursday evenings per term.
