CAP is an organisation of Jungian analysts and Jungian-oriented psychotherapists drawn from the five UK organisations that belong to the International Association for Analytical Psychology and several psychotherapy organisations that belong to UKCP, BCP and now the BACP.
We have two functions. The first is to accredit Jungian analysts who want to register with the UKCP but whose organisations have left (that is, the Society of Analytical Psychology and the Jungian Section of the British Association of Psychotherapists, now the British Psychotherapy Foundation).
The other function is to act as a forum for the discussion of Jungian ideas in clinical and non-clinical contexts and to bring together psychotherapists from diverse professional backgrounds with an interest in analytical psychology. We organise meetings, lecture series and conferences and there is a unique opportunity for psychotherapists who are Jungian-oriented to be in the same grouping as Jungian analysts.
