Selection & Admission On successful graduation from wpf, Trainee joins the relevant section. Psychotherapy sections do admit those from other analytic trainings that are considered to be of equivalent standing/duration. A rigorous application will include syllabus, psychotherapy requirements, patient hours and frequency and one or even two interviews. These are required by wpf according to the professional qualification being undertaken. The Foundation Training Committee oversees the CPD requirements, liaises with wpf Kensington and wpf Network to ensure that all standards and protocols are observed. It does not have any brief for professional training at The Foundation, since The Foundation does not provide professional training. Psychoanalytic/Psychodynamic The Foundation does not provide professional trainings; these are provided by wpf Counselling & Psychotherapy. However, all Trainees must belong to the Foundation throughout their training and join as full members at graduation according to the relevant section. Ongoing CPD is provided by The Foundation. The Foundation accredits members for entry into UKCP after they have successfully graduated from one of the wpf professional trainings. As a professional organisation, The Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling is committed to a clear and accountable framework for its members and clients. The Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling has a full Code of Ethics and Practice and a Complaints Procedure. The requirements of these are similar in nature to the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Members are required to:
