Theoretical orientation The body and its connections with emotions, mind and spirit has a central place in the studies, as well as the relationship between client and therapist. Teaching is always linked to personal experience, and is rooted primarily in neo Reichian approaches (Boadella, Boyesen, Lowen, Rosenberg), Gestalt, Transpersonal Psychology and Object Relations. The integration of these approaches is also guided by the image of Chiron, the wounded healer, recognising particular strengths and weaknesses in each of these polarities. The Chiron approach is perhaps unique in its emphasis on organic body-mind integration through 'energetic' contact, between therapist and client, as well as between body and mind of both people involved. The therapeutic relationship itself is seen as an essential, transformative element, rather than any particular skill and knowledge which therapists may rely on. The notions of 'energetic perception' and 'somatic resonance' are basic ingredients in Chiron work.
