Chair of Standards Board and Training Standards Committee

 

Carmen Ablack Carmen Joanne Ablack is Chair of the Standards Board and the Training Standards Committee, which is one of the major sub committees working to the UKCP Standards Board.  The Training Standards committee holds the responsibility for the specific development of training standards and their regulation  across the UKCP.  All Sections are represented on this committee.

The Standards Board is the forum where all the UKCP committees, with responsibility for developing and setting generic standards, meet and influence each other's work.  It is a central committee that works on behalf of  Member Organisations, Sections/Colleges and Registrants.

In the coming year the Standards Board will continue to work to ensure the quality of the activity of psychotherapy as held by UKCP centrally, by Member Organisations and by Sections/Colleges.  This will include the areas of Supervision; good quality Standards Equivalence across all Member Organisations and ensuring all Member Organisations and all Sections/Colleges of the UKCP meet the quality assurance levels required for a high professional standard of Fitness for Purpose.
