Theoretical orientation We have coined the label "Contemporary Psychotherapy" to encapsulate our wide and deep syllabus and to communicate the core presupposition that all ethical models of psychotherapy grow and develop with the research discoveries and client needs of the times. The BeeLeaf syllabus is a wide and deep generic training with particular emphasis on Ericksonian Hypno-Psychotherapy and Systemic Neuro-Linguistic Psychotherapy, informed by the historical influences upon these models. The core sources of our material are Milton Erickson and first generation Ericksonian psychotherapists who have directly contributed material and advice in the formation of our training, including Dr. Ernest Rossi, Dr. Stephen Gilligan, William O'Hanlon MS and Dr. Michael Yapko. The facilitation of the "hypnotic" conversation, or internal relationship, between the client's conscious and unconscious intelligence is the central basis of the BeeLeaf psychotherapeutic model. Such an organic process places the importance of the client's unique personhood and autonomy as central to the therapeutic process, and to facilitate this, the personhood of the therapist and their ability to hold and engage in a sponsoring relationship requires of the Trainee sincere attention and willingness to the growth of their own authentic personhood. Parallel developments in Cognitive Behavioural, Gestalt and Systemic Family Therapies are also greatly integrated into the core syllabus. As Erickson trained his students, BeeLeaf graduates are conversant in and flexible with the different requirements of different clients so that they may offer strategic therapy in brief, mid-term and, less often, long-term treatment, in a structured and outcome oriented way, utilising a combination of hypnotic, cognitive, active and analytic approaches. Upon successful completion of the Advanced Diploma in Contemporary Psychotherapy the Trainee may be accredited as an Accredited Psychotherapist. The Therapist is then eligible for Registration with UKCP through BeeLeaf. Please enquire for further details. The Community for Contemporary Psychotherapy (CCP) is the official Register for BeeLeaf Training. All Applicants can only be accepted onto a training module if they agree to be placed on the Register which binds the individual to abiding by the CCP Code of Ethics. This Code (available on request) has been written in accordance with UKCP Guidelines.
