Who says I am a psychotherapist? Personal qualities and values are vitally important and every Psychotherapist and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor on the UKCP register has received not only an appropriate standard of training and personal development, but has also been vouched for by their professional training or accrediting organisation.
Psychotherapy is both an art and a science and as such it is not possible to identify purely objective measures to assess an individual's readiness to practice. We believe that paper qualifications alone cannot provide sufficient evidence of the qualities needed to work at psychotherapeutic depth. |
