UKCP congratulates Adrian Rhodes

On behalf of the Board of Trustees of UKCP, I would like to congratulate Adrian Rhodes, UKCP Vice Chair (Regulation) who has been appointed Vice President of the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP).

EAP represents 128 organisations (28 national umbrella associations, 17 European-wide associations for psychotherapy) from 41 European countries and by that more than 120,000 psychotherapists. Membership is also open for individual psychotherapists. Based on the Strasbourg Declaration on Psychotherapy of 1990, the EAP represents high training standards for a scientifically based profession and stands for a free and independent practice of psychotherapy.

As a founder member of the EAP and only national awarding organisation for the European Certificate of Psychotherapy in the UK, UKCP supports its intention to set and maintain high standards of Psychotherapy across Europe and Adrian's central role within it.
