My approach is based on Relational Transactional Analysis (TA) Psychotherapy. This puts the relationship between the client and the therapist at the centre of the work. I'll pay attention to how we impact each other when we talk. You'll be listened to and attuned to, with the support of another person to help you make sense of your difficulties. This way of working can help you to understand why things are impacting you, and how to process and find a way to be with the difficulties you are experiencing, through change or acceptance.
My goal is to meet clients exactly where they are, in whatever they are experiencing. I don't make any judgements or criticisms. I want to carefully explore what is really difficult for you, approaching whatever issues you are having with a high level of kindness and attention.
I am a Certified Transactional Analyst with Psychotherapy specialty. I have been working in Devon since 2015 as a therapist. I have been working for the University of Exeter counselling service for several years as part of their free provision for students. I am also one of the additional tutors for the Iron Mill College psychotherapy programme.
