Do you believe that ‘you just have to get on with it’, but you’re finding it hard? Are you struggling with an issue at the moment or troubled by a situation in your past? Feeling sad, anxious, overwhelmed or defeated? If you need someone to listen to you empathically so that you can make sense of what is happening in your life, I can provide a safe place to listen without judgement and support you to feel empowered to make positive changes in your life.
The Covid-19 pandemic changed our lives in many ways: for some it was traumatic and upsetting requiring life to be rebuilt; for others it provided a realisation that life going forward needed to be different, but they felt 'stuck'. Therapy can provide the space you need to process your thoughts and feelings, regroup and move forward.
I am a Humanistic Integrative Psychotherapist and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, with experience of working with clients dealing with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief and loss, low self-esteem, infertility, work-related issues, anger and relationships. In addition, I also have a specialism in working with clients who struggle to manage a work/life balance due to working in high-pressure environments, such as the education sector and emergency services. For many clients, the common mind-set of ‘you just have to get on with it’ is unhelpful, as it doesn’t allow them to express or challenge their own thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Working with me will allow you to do just that.
I believe in the importance of developing a strong, collaborative relationship with each client, so that I can tailor services to best meet the needs of the individual. Life is stressful enough; finding a supportive therapist shouldn’t be!
